One look at this bizarre plant and you'll understand why it's one of our all-time favorite Hoyas. Hoya carnosa 'Compacta' has twisted, waxy leaves that emerge on long rope-like vines, making this Hoya perfect as a hanging plant.

 PLANT CARE & INFO

Light levels: Best in bright indirect light. In low light, it may never bloom. 

Watering: All hoya plants need very little water. Water when the soil is almost dry. During the winter, water all varieties of hoya plants even less. Use well-draining soil. 

Temperature: Happy in normal room temperatures between 18-24 degrees. Avoid cold draughts. 

Feeding: Feed monthly during the spring and summer with a water-soluble plant food diluted to 1/2 the recommended strength. Use a fertiliser high in potassium to encourage Hindu Rope plants to bloom.

Toxicity: Hoya are non toxic.
