Caladiums are a tropical perennial plant which come in a variety of striking colours and leaf forms which are bound to make a statement among any plant collection! Caladium are a tuberous plant and only grow foliage from Spring through to Autumn, they go dormant in Winter so don't be concerned when your leaves begin to fade, they will come back after a short hiatus!

Light levels: Caladium thrive in medium light levels, avoid bright afternoon sun as this can cause the leaves to burn.

Watering: Moderation is key when watering Caladium. Keep the soil moist at all times with these plants and be mindful to not allow it to completely dry out. Do not overwater as this may encourage root rot. 

Temperature: Happy in normal room temperatures between 18-24 degrees. Avoid cold temperatures and draughts. 

Soil: Caladium like a well-draining soil.

Feeding: Use a slow-release fertiliser once a month during spring. 

Toxicity: These plants are considered toxic, keep them away from children and pets.
